Job Description:
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Perform installations and drops, operate electronic equipment and diagnostic tools, Testing and troubleshooting. Travel in territory occasionally required. (expenses paid) May also include high speed copper cabling, fiber optic cabling, and wireless network.
Expected Results: Successful installation and service of low voltage category cabling, fiber optic cabling, communications cabling, communication equipment and other various low voltage related systems such as Category 5, Enhanced Category 5, and Category 6. Representation of Ark-La-Tex Communications professionalism and customer service focus.Skills: Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and troubleshoot cabling infrastructure systems and perform repairs as necessary. Ability to perform upgrades and additions to cabling infrastructure systems in order to increase functionality and usability.
Experience Required:
Experience Preferred: 2+ years of experience installing, servicing, and maintaining low voltage cable infrastructure systems (as detailed above) is highly preferred.
*We will train and develop individuals with technical aptitude and strong work ethic in lieu of experience.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift over 50 lbs. at times, climb 6’ to 12’ step ladders, use scissor lifts, and snorkel lifts, crawl into small spaces, conduct cable terminations with copper cables and fiber optic cables, work in all climates.
